Earlier this year, we’ve launched The Daily Media with aspiration to be a player in the nations digital media ecosystem. Our vision is to create a network of publishing channels that caters to different interest channels for Women. Like other new companies, the journey started with a dream and inspiration and so far it has been very exciting and enlightening for us. So what is The Daily Media ?
We’ve been asked this question a bunch of times and quiet honestly we’ve never come up with a unified one sentence answer everytime we’re asked. Tell that to any CEO and business coach and they’ll say that’s the first symptom of failure. But we don’t buy that. We’re scrappy bunch of kids and we’d like to keep our options open.
Lets just put it this way, we tell people that we are in the business of providing information. Yes we are a digital publisher. We do a lot of stuff that Traditional and Digital Agencies does. We do Public Relations and Digital Crisis Management. We do experiential marketing and word of mouth activities. We provide Social Media Consultancy and Engagement Manage service. We assist brands and agencies in Brand Planning and Market Entry assesment as well as Media Monitoring. But regardless of what we do, at the end we are delivering useful information to somebody, some where.
Like other start up companies, we’ve had our share of ups and downs. However, our shared belief of our unique competencies have put us together in difficult times. We think we are pretty unique in every aspect in terms of our product and service portfolios as well as competencies and skill sets of our core team. What sets us apart is our deep understanding of our community of intimate female audience, their digital activity and behavior, digital power and influencing patterns, where and how they stack in real world social life.
We spent countless hours analyzing and profiling our tight knit community. We’ve built tools to evaluate and profile our audience and developed our so called version of Social Graph to understand and rank members and what impact they have in the influence ripple effect. We monitor 84 brand conversation (not brand mentions) attached to our community and we map and evaluate every single one of them. Monitoring and data mining of 1.5 GB of casual and thoughtful conversation on a continuous basis and profiling them might be cumbersome for some. But we’re scrappy. We’ve rolled our sleeves and get our hands dirty since day one and those efforts have payed off. We are the consumers and no one understand the consumers better than we do, hands down. In other words, we know who’s who in this highly communal and increasingly complex social world.
To our knowledge, we’re proud to say that we’re one of the very few in Indonesia, if not the only one who have the capability to deliver consumer insights and real time market intelligence to help our clients leverage the most powerful and influential customer segment, the female audience. This gives us unparalleled experience as new marketing and public relations pioneers, social media insiders, activators and digital thought leaders.
So we’ve built the foundation, found our mojo and now we’re determine to take The Daily Media to the next level. We’re working on new initiatives and exciting projects. We have an ambitious plan in 2011 and expecting to double our headcount next year. Next month will be marked with an important milestone of our early journey where we’ll be moving as we triple our work space and have a proper corporate office at Graha 31, Jalan Kemang Raya. This will mark the beginning of an exciting dream called, The Daily Media.
Thanks for the trust.
